CD release party "Bare Knuckle"
Legendary guitarist/vocalist Guitar Shorty is a giant in the blues world.
Credited with influencing both Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy, Guitar Shorty
has been electrifying audiences for five decades with his supercharged
live shows and his incendiary recordings. Like a bare knuckled boxer,
Shorty strikes with his blistering, physical guitar playing and his
fierce vocals, connecting directly with body and soul. What really
sets Shorty apart is his absolutely unpredictable, off-the-wall guitar
playing. He reaches for sounds, riffs and licks that other blues

HANGMEN
This Ottawa-based rock group is comprised of five talented
musicians. Lead Neal Sundet achieved fame in Obsession,
Funhouse and Rattlin' Bones to name a few. The latter being offered
representation by none other than Ahmet Ertigan. Guitarist Paul
Fenton is considered one of Canada's preeminant slide players
known for His Rattle Snakin' Daddy CD among other famous Canadian
bands. Brother and fellow guitarist John Fenton brings hard driving riffs
and musicianship culled from both experience and serious attitude!
Bassist Eric Lackey makes a special imprint with both electric and upright
bass, while drummer 'Burger' (Jean-Marc Muenier) pounds out every beat
as if he's playing a 50,000 seat arena.
The group's debut album is to be released in 2010.
